for convenience and informative reasons, i have decided to make this PR to display the commit hash of the running server. this can help many users know what version of the server is currently running.

i also fixed links not being wrapped inside of an link element (i forgot to save the changes last pr, so it counts as a fix in my book)
additionally, i made image links hide themselves for a cleaner look to a message (you can still open the image itself by right clicking on it and opening the link)
